Content Guidelines

  • Length: 1,000–1,800 words for standard guides; up to 2,500 words for in-depth case studies or data-driven pieces.
  • Originality: Must be 100% original and unpublished anywhere else, including your own blog. We run originality checks before publishing.
  • Structure: Open with a clear, specific hook — no generic "In today's world..." intros. Break the body into descriptive subheadings every 200–300 words, with short paragraphs (2–4 sentences) and bullet points where they aid scanning.
  • Tone: Practical and plain-English. Avoid marketing language, superlatives ("best-in-class," "revolutionary"), and filler transitions.
  • Evidence: Back up claims with credible sources — link to original data, studies, or industry reports rather than asserting numbers without support.
  • Conclusion: End with a clear, actionable takeaway — not a generic summary restating the intro.

Images & Media

  • Include at least one original image, diagram, or properly licensed stock photo (royalty-free or CC0) — no images pulled from other websites without rights.
  • Credit the source if the image isn't yours.
  • Minimum recommended width: 1200px, so images stay sharp at full article width.
  • Suggest descriptive alt text for each image (helps accessibility and SEO).

Linking Policy

  • One contextual link back to your site or work is allowed within the body, placed naturally where it adds value to the reader.
  • One additional link is allowed in your author bio.
  • No link networks, link farms, or unrelated commercial links — these will be removed before publishing.
  • Keyword-stuffed anchor text will be edited to something more natural.

Editorial Review Process

  • Pitch review: 3–5 business days to hear back on whether your idea is a fit.
  • Draft review: 5–7 business days after you submit the full piece.
  • We may request revisions for clarity, structure, or accuracy before acceptance.
  • We reserve the right to edit any accepted piece for grammar, formatting, and SEO without changing your core message.
  • Publishing: Accepted pieces typically go live within 2–3 weeks, depending on our editorial calendar.

Compensation & Ownership

This is an unpaid guest contribution program — the value exchange is exposure to our readership and a backlink to your site, not a fee. If you're interested in paid placements or sponsored content instead, see our Advertise With Us page.

  • You retain copyright of your work.
  • You grant ReadLearn a non-exclusive right to publish, edit, and promote the piece across our site and channels indefinitely.
  • We may update or unpublish older guest content if it becomes outdated or inaccurate.
What we don't accept

Purely promotional content, articles with unrelated or excessive links, AI-generated drafts with no original insight or human editing, previously published or scraped content, and pitches with no clear topic or angle. We check thoroughly before publishing, so please don't submit anything that falls into these categories.

How to Submit

  1. Read every section above — most pitches we decline haven't followed these guidelines.
  2. Email your pitch to readlearn.blog@gmail.com with the subject line "Guest Post Submission – [Your Topic]."
  3. Include: your proposed title, a 2–3 sentence summary of the angle, a short author bio (2–3 lines) with one link, and 1–2 writing samples if you have them.
  4. Wait for pitch approval before writing the full draft — this saves both of us time if the topic needs adjusting.
  5. Once approved, submit your draft as a Google Doc (with comment access) or clean, formatted plain text — no PDFs.
  6. We'll review, suggest any edits, and confirm a publish date once it's ready to go live.
